About: Tyrannus Angel Awards is the flagship program of Tyrannus Foundation, a Los Angeles–based nonprofit foundation created for a new era of storytelling.

As artificial intelligence gives more people than ever the power to create cinematic worlds, Tyrannus exists to champion the stories worth carrying forward — stories marked by artistic excellence, human meaning, hope, and the power to leave something meaningful behind.

Categories: Three categories. Within each, three honors are awarded — plus thirty finalist recognitions across the program.
Original Works
Real lives. Real testimonies. Stories never yet heard, waiting to be told. Here, one true story has the power to reach into a life and touch it — to remind an audience what it feels like to be moved, to be seen, to be changed.
Adapted Works
Scripture. Testimony. History long since written. The stories the world already knows — reimagined, brought back to life, and seen for the first time again.
Animated Works
Where imagination has no limits. Animation built for children, for families, for every culture and the generations still to come — entertainment that is original, uplifting, and made for audiences of every age to share.

Who can submit a nomination?
The Tyrannus Angel Awards is open to filmmakers and creators worldwide. There are no restrictions on nationality or language. All submissions must include an English SRT subtitle file and a crew and team introduction written in English. Submissions in languages other than English must also include a subtitle file in the original language.

Note

Is there a submission fee?
There is a USD $30 entry fee per submission, collected online at the time of application. Fees are refundable only in cases where a submission is rejected due to ineligibility — such as content that does not meet our submission requirements. All other fees are non-refundable.

What kind of work qualifies?
We welcome AI-created films between 3 and 15 minutes in length. Our mission is to bring great stories back to life — the ones the world hasn't yet seen, told through the power of AI filmmaking. Works that move audiences, carry positive values, or convey the love and message of Christian faith are eligible for additional weight in the jury's evaluation. Full content requirements and restrictions are detailed in the submission agreement, available to read before signing during the application process.

How are winners selected?
Our jury evaluates each submission across five criteria: Narrative & Story, AI Craft & Production, Direction & Emotional Resonance, Commercial & IP Potential, and Values & Cultural Depth. Shortlisted finalists will be announced on October 1, 2026. Award recipients will be revealed at the ceremony on October 24, 2026, in Los Angeles.

Where is the ceremony held?
The inaugural Tyrannus Angel Awards ceremony will take place at City Club Los Angeles, 555 Flower Street, 51st Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90071, on October 24, 2026.
Will travel be covered for finalists?
At this time, we are not able to cover travel or accommodation costs for finalists. However, if travel-related sponsors become available, we will do our best to connect finalists with potential discounts or sponsorship support. We will reach out directly if this changes.

FAQ
Questions, answered
The questions we get most from creators before they enter. If yours is not on the list, ping us on Discord or Instagram and we will add it.

Can I enter as a team, or is this open to individuals only?
Do my two entries have to be in the same track?
Can I submit work I created before September 1?
Which Qolaba feature do I need to use to create my entry?
Can I use other AI tools alongside Qolaba?
No. Your creation needs to be made strictly inside Qolaba. Entries not created on Qolaba will not be validated.

Do I need a paid Qolaba subscription?
No. You don't need a paid subscription to participate. You get 2 free video series generations to create and submit your entry.
What exactly counts as one video series generation?
A video series generation is the final assembled video, after all individual clips have been generated and combined into one complete piece. The finished, combined video is what's eligible for submission, not the individual clips.
Is there a minimum or maximum duration for entries?
Minimum 10 seconds, maximum 100 seconds.
If I cross-post to multiple platforms, does that count as multiple entries?
No. Posting the same creation across different social media platforms helps you reach more people and get more upvotes, but it still counts as one entry. You'll link each platform post to the same video series in the submission form.
Can I promote my entry to get more upvotes?
Yes. You're encouraged to share your creation across social media to boost reach and rank higher on the leaderboard.
What happens if my post is taken down or made private during the challenge?
Your post needs to stay public for the full duration of the challenge to remain eligible for rewards.

What counts as a valid post?
A valid post is a publicly visible post on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, or Facebook that contains your Qolaba generated creation, tags @qolaba, uses #CreatedWithQolaba, and includes the official Qolaba challenge link. Posting on more than one platform is welcome but not required. Keep the post public until winners are announced.
Who can enter Open to anyone who registers for the challenge. No AI experience required.
Where Online. Open to creators worldwide.

How to enter Create with Qolaba, post publicly on a supported platform, tag @qolaba, and submit the entry link through the official form.
Entries Up to 2 per participant, 1 mandatory and 1 optional. Both are judged and can be in different tracks. A second post unlocks a third free generation.
